Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 amβ9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Barnes & Noble at (570) 829-4210; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is stores.barnesandnoble.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

I had almost forgotten how wonderful it is to walk through a bookstore with a brew from the Barista. To smell the books ...and yes there is a definite smell to the books when you're in a bookstore .... took me back to when my children were waiting for Harry Potter novels to be released. We'd be waiting for and going to to the release parties. It is so calming here, so quiet. Yet there's so much visually to look at besides books. Coming here is actually therapeutic. There is a sense of calm around books.. and a sense of titillating mystery of what's under the cover of that book right there...the one who's cover attracted you to come over to this area. Pick it up, flip it over, open it up and read the synopsis. Yep that's coming home.... and then the areas of the store containing wonderful gifts. All kind of unique and beautiful things for children and adults. They're here in person, they're not a flat picture on a computer screen. Here you can touch them and pick them up. Hold them, smell them, examine them. Your brain snaps in from the information your senses are feeding it and you find yourself saying, "so and so would love this."

I had such a wonderful experience with Hannah at the Starbucks cafΓ© inside the Barnes & Noble at Arena Hub Plaza. She was working by herself while there was a line of customers, and I was genuinely impressed by how well she handled everything. Despite being busy and having to manage the counter on her own, she remained calm, composed, friendly, and attentive to each customer. Hannah never made anyone feel rushed or like they were an inconvenience. She continued to greet people kindly, provide great service, and keep such a positive attitude throughout what could have easily been a stressful situation. Her professionalism and kindness really stood out to me. Before I left, I actually asked for her name because I wanted to make sure she received the recognition she deserves. Hannah is a wonderful representation of excellent customer service, and I hope management lets her know that her hard work did not go unnoticed!

I just wanted to leave a kind review for Missy at this Barnes & Nobles location. Today I came in feeling overwhelmed and trying to find the courage and inspiration to keep writing my book. I had stacks of books all around me and she noticed how focused I was. She came over with a stool so I could organize all my books and reassured me that they encourage people to stay, read, and work there. It was such a small act of kindness, but it genuinely made me feel supported and welcome during a moment where I really needed encouragement. Thank you, Missy, for your kindness and for creating such a comforting environment for people chasing their goals.

Always a great place to spend time. The store is clean, well-organized, and has a wide selection of books, magazines, gifts, and other unique items. It's a relaxing place to browse, discover new reads, or simply unwind for a while. Having a Starbucks inside is an added bonus, making it easy to grab a coffee while you shop or sit and read. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who loves books or is just looking for a peaceful place to explore.

Barnes & Noble is always a wonderful experience, but what I love most is their childrenβs area β itβs excellent! Itβs very well organized, with a wide variety of childrenβs books, educational stories, activity books, and even educational toys that encourage imagination and a love for reading. Itβs a spacious, comfortable, and welcoming space where kids can explore freely while parents enjoy the moment. The atmosphere invites you to stay, read together, and discover new stories as a family. The staff is also friendly and always willing to help. Itβs definitely one of my favorite places to visit with little ones and inspire them to fall in love with books. πβ¨
